On Thursday 30th March 2017, an open evening for former members of the school community was held in order to have a final look around the 'old buildings'.
This was also a last opportunity to share memories of the past.
Around 220 people attended the event.
Here's what some had to say:
'Thank you for organising this event. I had a great time looking around and trying - with the help of some people who were from my era – to remember how the school looked in April 1964 when we went there for the first term. There were some difficulties trying to picture where the old library was - the first bridge link having being removed and what is now a staffroom being the old library'.
'Thanks for giving us the opportunity to have one more look around'.
'It was great to catch up with people that I hadn't seen for 30 years'.
‘I went on a fabulous trip down to memory lane to my old school Menzies. It was great to see it all before it’s demolished.’
