All students will continue to study Science up to GCSE level, gaining two GCSEs in Combined Science, but you can also choose to do an extra GCSE in Science as one of your options which will get you three GCSEs in Biology, Chemistry and Physics separately. If you are passionate about Science and want to do more of it, then this is the option for you!

Science is important because it teaches an understanding of the world around us. Science aims to stimulate our natural curiosity in finding out why things happen in the way they do, as well as teaching methods of enquiry and investigation to stimulate creative thought.

How is the course assessed?

The course is assessed by GCSE examinations, there is no coursework.

Combined Science - 6 x 1hr 15 exams

Separate Science – 6 x 1hr 45 exams
