GRADE: Band D (£20,903 - £24,491) Actual Salary £7,562 - £8,860p.a. adjusted for hours and weeks
LOCATION: Phoenix, Clarkes Lane, West Bromwich, West Midlands, B71 2BX
HOURS: 15 hours per week, Term Time + 1 week. Hours to be worked over 2 days per week (preferably Thursday and Friday)
Phoenix is looking to appoint a motivated, independent and resilient Student Attendance Officer to support our School Attendance and House Teams, working actively and constructively with colleagues, students, parents/carers and external organisations and agencies. The role requires a calm, organised approach to work and a proven ability to balance conflicting demands and pressures.
Experience of working in an education setting and a working knowledge of the SIMS database would be an advantage, but a proven record of working effectively with Microsoft Office packages and experience of maintaining and improving administrative systems and processes is imperative. As a minimum, applicants must have obtained GCSE Grade 4 or above (A* - C) or an equivalent qualification.
We are looking for someone with well-developed interpersonal skills, able to respond professionally in challenging situations who is tenacious with an attention to detail. Applicants should demonstrate a basic understanding of the issues affecting non-attendance in school and of safeguarding/child protection issues in Education.
